O.T. Frasch Images 00-99

In theory images numbered 00 to 99 would be the first photos that Otto took in Seattle and the surrounding areas after arriving in late 1906 or 1907. However, there are multiple image sequences (e.g. 'R' for Mt. Rainier or 'X' for reprints of Frank Nowell Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition images) within this number range, and some image numbers are reused multiple times. In fact, some of the lowest numbered images show scenes from Golden Potlatch parades, which did not start until 1911. Thus we cannot be certain which images were Otto's first in Seattle.

There are more repeats in this range of 100 than in any other, so it has more images than any other range.

Topics include:

  • Seattle churches, schools, parks, street regrades, downtown buildings, waterfront, and the Pike Place Market
  • Logging
  • Mt. Rainier ('R' series images)
  • The 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition (A.Y.P.E.; 'X' and 'E' series images)
  • The 1911-1913 Golden Potlatch Parades
