This version has the incorrect spelling. Otto sometimes made mistakes when writing captions; we don't know whether this was a simple slip or whether he thought the spelling was "Coleman" until he was corrected.
Enterprise Novelty Works of Seattle published this postcard, with an inset of the image at the top. The caption is a quote from George Elliot: "This world is a looking glass - Laugh at it and it laughs back, Frown, and your Gloom is likewise recast." We do not know if the copy was authorized.
