This is a photo of the grounds of the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exhibition taken at night. Electric light bulbs were just coming into wide use at this time, and the 1909 World's Fair was an opportunity to show them off.

Numerous scuff marks are visible on the dark photo. Postcards, after all, were meant to be mailed, and they were often put into photo albums afterward.

There is also an Image 227 (227 - Colman Dock Seattle (42 Storie L.C. Smith Bldg.) showing the Smith Tower in downtown Seattle. It was completed in 1914; perhaps Otto reused the image number because no one would be interested in an A.Y.P.E. card after the exposition ended.
